Why choose tuition with Cat?
I'm a dedicated educator with decades of experience, including 10 years' class teaching in an inner-London primary school, 5 years TEFL teaching in Oxford and abroad and 5 years tutoring students of all ages and backgrounds.
My friendly, encouraging style helps pupils feel confident and proud of their progress. I focus on building a strong connection and nurturing a growth mindset to make learning enjoyable and effective. The one-to-one format is invaluable for giving students agency and building self esteem and allows me to tailor sessions to their needs and unique motivations.
Drawing pedagogy from my Primary PGCE and from Forest School, I believe in meeting the learner where they're at in order to best support them through their learning journey.
Homeschooling and SEND
Happiness comes first when it comes to learning. I work with families who have chosen to educate at home for a multitude of reasons. With my expertise and knowledge of the national curriculum, I can offer flexible, dynamic sessions to meet a range of needs so that students feel motivated and heard.

Grammar, reading & writing from KS1–KS3. A passion for children's literature and helping every student find their voice.
Spanish
Having lived in Spain, Mexico & Peru, I share my love of the language from primary level all the way to A-level.
11+ Preparation
Supporting students to receive their first choice of secondary school, addressing verbal and non-verbal reasoning and building confidence through structured and meaningful prep. I have experience with most exam boards

Easing the pressure of Year 6 exams and helping students feel truly ready for the transition to secondary school.
